Now forming — the founding cohort

The Frum Educators’
Community

Where Jewish day school educators connect, share, and grow.

A professional home for the teachers, rebbeim, and moros of America’s Orthodox day schools. Practical training, resources you can use Monday morning, and colleagues who actually understand your classroom. We’re building it now — and the founding cohort gets in first.

Add your email and we’ll be in touch when the doors open — nothing else.

Why this exists

You’ve been doing this on your own for long enough.

Frum educators give everything to their talmidim. We stay late writing curriculum from scratch. We troubleshoot classroom management in the hallway between periods. Most of us learned our craft by trial, error, and whoever happened to take us under their wing that first year.

What we mostly don’t have is a professional home — the ongoing training, shared materials, and peer network that educators in other systems take for granted. Our schools are doing their best with the budgets and the hours they have. This isn’t a complaint about them. It’s a gap. And it’s one we can close ourselves.

  • The same unit, written from scratch, in a hundred buildings.

Work that’s already been done well by someone two towns over — and no way to find it.

  • Professional development that’s one day in August.

And gone by Succos. Real growth needs something you can come back to in February.

  • Nowhere to ask the question you can’t ask at work.

The class that isn’t responding. The parent email you’ve rewritten four times. The lesson that fell flat.

What we’re building

Training and resources built for our classrooms.

Not general education theory with a frum coat of paint. Materials written by someone who has taught in these buildings, for the way our schools actually run.

In development now. Founding members get each piece as it opens, starting on day one.

  • Classroom Management Course

What actually holds a room together — routines, expectations, and repair. Systems you can set up in a week, not a philosophy you have to believe in first.

  • Curriculum Writing Crash Course

How to build a unit that holds together — objectives, sequence, assessment — without needing a summer off to do it.

  • A Standards Primer for Day Schools

What standards are, what they aren’t, and how to use them in limudei kodesh or general studies without flattening what you teach.

  • Starter Template Pack

Lesson plans, unit maps, behavior systems, parent communication. Editable, practical, and usable Monday morning.

  • After launch

    Monthly Webinars & Recording Library

Live sessions on the topics members ask for — recorded and kept, so the library grows along with the community.

  • The Peer Community

Ask a question at nine at night and hear from someone who taught the same thing last year. Share what worked. Borrow what works.

The Frum Educators’ Community

Your founder

Naema Tenenbaum, MEd

Naema has been teaching in frum day schools since 2014 — and spending the years alongside it writing curriculum, coaching teachers through classroom management, and advising principals on instruction.

Doing that work across schools made one thing obvious: the same questions were being asked in building after building, by capable, devoted educators, with no shared place to answer them. The Frum Educators’ Community is that place.

  • MEd, Curriculum & Instruction — American College of Education
  • Doctorate in Instructional Leadership, in progress
  • Day school classroom educator since 2014
  • Curriculum writer, teacher coach, and advisor to school leadership

The founding cohort

Come in early, and help build the room.

The community opens to a founding cohort first. That group gets more than early access — it decides what this becomes.

  • You’re in from day one

Access opens to founding members before the community is announced publicly.

  • You set the agenda

Nothing is locked in yet. What founding members say they need is what gets built first — tell us what’s hardest right now and it goes on the list.

  • The materials, as they open

Each course and template pack reaches founding members the moment it’s ready, starting on day one.

  • A room that starts small

Real conversation with people who know your work — not a feed of thousands of strangers.
